As I was watching, Options for Building Your Teacher Website and Why YOU Should, by Cyndi Danner-Kuhn, I began to make some personal connections. I feel like this year has been such a "big year" for new technology being introduced to our school. In the video article, Danner-Kuhn discusses the importance of having a classroom website. This is actually something that our school in attempting to introduce. It seems that a lot of teachers are feeling somewhat overwhelmed. Some grade levels are actually creating grade level websites. Hopefully by next year, classroom websites will begin to appear. In addition to classroom websites, our school has expanded their school website. Teachers have been thrown right into the pool of technology by using programs like Power school and Power teacher.
I found this video article to be very informative and easy-to-understand. I think that this may actually be beneficial to some of the teachers at my school. Instead of feeling overwhelmed and unable to use some of the technology that is being intoduced in school, this video might ease some of frustration that some many teachers are feeling. Teachers would also get some great information and useful websites to explore.
